Barbara Paris Gifford is an Assistant Curator at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. She has served as part of the curatorial team for numerous exhibitions, including Counter-Couture: Handmade Fashion in an American Counterculture, Voulkos: The Breakthrough Years, and Ebony Patterson: Dead Treez and buried again to carry on growing… Gifford has written for many publications including The Journal of Modern Craft, and for the catalogues Voulkos: The Breakthrough Years, and Ralph Pucci: The Art of The Mannequin. She holds a Master of Arts degree in the history of the decorative arts, design, and culture from the Bard Graduate Center and a business degree from Fordham University.
